New Item:
These curly sticks followed me home from the Garden Show last week. They have replaced the sunflowers for a while. I have some other less interesting sticks that I used to put in the vase for a winter arrangement, but I didn't get that done this year. I really like the curly sticks. Unfortunately, Toby has been quite interested in them also. We've had a few sessions with the squirt bottle.

Today's committee meeting in Salina was cancelled. And even though I am now available, I think I'm going to blow off my WSU class this afternoon and enjoy a day for laundry, catching up on office stuff and quilting. Best of all, I can get by without doing my hair or face! Always a joyful occasion. Besides which, I think I'm currently experiencing a bit of politics/world affairs aversion. It depresses me to think of that stuff, thus I'm doing so less and less in recent weeks/months. I'm sure there will be a turn around some day.

We are cool and dreary, but sun and 60's are going to return next week. Spring??!!

  1. The curly sticks look lovely. I undertand the world affairs aversion. I will stand in there and despair on your behalf bacause I am reading the history Anglican moral theology. Our current events can drag me into a comparable emotional space. I ust also go to the library today to find additional resources for my exegesis of 1 Sam. 6:1-10 when the Philistines return the ark to the Israelites.
