It was true....
We really did go to the Garden Show. The person in the photo who is neither Barbara nor me is Joe the Lawn Boy. He is a neighbor of Barbara's who does lawn work in the summer and shovels show in the winter. He's quite entertaining as well.

This afternoon turned out to be a good time for shopping. The excursion was occasioned by the arrival of day light savings time and my clock failure. You see, it's one of those wonderful ones that beams out to the great timepiece in the ethers and automatically sets itself. But....it has been about 4 minutes off for several months. I've worked hard to convince myself that 4 minutes is no big deal. Its so automatic that there is no mechanism for manually setting the time. Last night I went to bed with the alarm set at the appropriate get-up-for-church time and confident that my clock would reset itself for the new time, even if it was 4 minutes off. It did not. Thus shopping for a new alarm.

It turned into a trip to the fabric store, a stop at Lowe's just to look, then on to Target for some specific items, then another stop at another Lowe's based on an inspiration I got from the first stop at the first Lowe's. Now I'm tired.

  3. Losing weight! Thanks for that. I've been on an eating binge since returning from Chicago. Got to get it to an end one day soon. I'll add Donna to my e-mail list. Just got your post today, 3/17, and that was after I had put up today's post. I haven't quite gotten the hang of how these comments work. Let me know if you get some notice about this one, O.K.?
