Yep, it certainly is Quilt Show Week. On Tuesday and Wednesday morning, I assisted with the judging process and wound up being the chauffer for the judge who was staying here in Valley with my friend, Cleo.
Wednesday aftenoon and ALL day today, I was at Century II helping with set up. My, it's been a number of years since I did an 11 hour day on an exhibit floor. I'm certainly not as young as I used to be. Despite being tired each evening, it has been fun. No better way to get to know people than to work and sweat beside them for a couple of hours.
I finally found all four of my quilts on the floor this afternoon. I"ll go with camera in hand tomorrow, so I can bore you with more photos of my quilts.
And.....the current show director said this afternoon that she wanted to 'feel me out' (as opposed to feel me up??) about taking over as director of the show for the next one in 2012. Now, does that just surprise you at all?
