My Life -- The Details

A big old storm came through unexpectedly night before last. It blew and blew, waking me up, scaring the cats, and scrambling the furniture on the back porch. Then it went on east and blew at Linda's house.

I am now officially a Master Garderner. I managed to accumulate 48 hours of volunteer time and that got me my official name bade which denotes my official designation. I'm official.

The church took up a good bit of my time in the last few days. I had to give the Sunday School lesson this past week, and it took me two days to get that ready. We don't have any set curriculum, so each person talks about what they want to when it is their term to lead/teach. Always a challenge. And then Monday was my day to cover the church office in the morning.

Last night I took Mom to the new Pizza Hut for dinner. It is new and clean and tidy. It is regular Pizza Hut food, of course, but now I'm not so afraid of salmonella, e-coli, etc.

An Aside: I know that you'll just be holding your breath, waiting for the photo of the new Kwik Shop. The old one started coming down yesterday!

Today is the Quilt Guild and a special budget preparation meeting tonight for the City Council.

You will probably miss these posts tremendously over the next few days. But I promise to catch you up when I get back from Chicago.
