On Friday, I went to Lecompton to visit Sandy and Cyndi.

We had dinner and then did a drive into Lawrence to have a Dairy Queen. It's a nice drive along the river road and a lovely treat at the end. So, it seems to be becoming a tradition for my visits to them.

After returning we watched the Swedish movie made from the novel, "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo." The movie was as good as the book. How strange.

They live in an absolutely charming "cottage in the woods" although you can't see much of the woods in this photo.
On Saturday, Sandy and I met Barbara in Topeka for lunch and then they indulged me by going to a small quilt show. All in all, a quite nice trip.
