The Handy Guy was here yesterday and we got some chores done. He used the power washer to clean the porch cushions, furniture, floor, walls, etc.
Now all I need is some moderation in this early heat wave so that i can enjoy the porch.
He also took an inch or so off of the bottom of the door into the laundry room. Now there is room for a rug which may help keep from tracking yuk in from the garage.
My wonderful little Japanese Lilac Tree has just done beautifully in its first year. Isn't it lovely?
And look at those absolutely lilac-style blooms.
They also smell like a lilac bush. Quite nice. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it can survive in its rather harsh setting. Can't wait to see how it will do in another year.
